Where are the thousands of Instructables I have seen in the past? Is there an archive page? Thanks

The instructables search feature works quite well. it uses google to search the site.

"Lets make" at the top of the page.

In many cases it might be easier to ask the almighty Google for help.
A search for some keywords you know with this added in the search bar should quickly bring what you need:
Example:
LED cube site:www.instructables.com

This makes Google search for "led cube" on all pages that have www.instructables.com in the address.
You can try the example by clicking here:

Well, it would be nice if one could make something that looks like a link not to appear as a hyperlink, so please ignore the linking in the search examples and just see the text for the web address.

Hi there,

You can access all past instructables by clicking that "Featured" button above. On that page you can browse by categories, or on the right side of the page you can look at all
"Recent" projects, or sort by a couple of other options in the under the More menu. And you can just do general searches as well using the search bar.
