Audio Stereo KILLSWITCH without NOISE when switch pressed Answered

I know there's a lot of Killswitches to build but I need one that will shut my loud music gentle without the "unplug" noise, may be some components attached to the switch will make it. Any suggestions?

Most kill or mute switches don't switch the signal in/out--they switch a connection from the signal path to ground on/off. There's never any "unplugged" noise with these. It's the same reason some amp input jacks are grounded when nothing is plugged in.

If there's still a little residual noise when switching, it's possible to place a large resistor (or resistor / cap in parallel) across the switch, to insure that both sides of the switch stay close in potential.
