Backlighting a Keyboard Answered

so a while back i purchased a keyboard that uses blue EL Wire to backlight the keys.  I like the blue, but i'd like to add some variety to it.  i'd like to add more different colors and a switch that toggles between the different colors (so i can change from blue to say red or green etc..)
are there different voltages/currents for the wire that i should be concerned about? any other help/advice would be appreciated too..
thanks ahead of time!

The power inverter in the keyboard to drive the EL wire is probably sucking the power from the USB. I think you should be able to just switch in another length of different colored EL wire to the inverter. Look at adafruit.com for supplies and tutorials there to see how to hook up EL wire. Good luck.
