Bad link? https://www.instructables.com/you/backtalk Answered

I received an email (in my yahoo account) saying I had a new comment and to click the link I posted in the topic to view it. When I click it (or copy past the link) I get sent to this login pg: https://www.instructables.com/account/login?nxtPgName=/you/backtalk&nxtPg=/you/backtalk

When I enter my login info it just takes me back to the same login page. If I log in (in another window) I can get to my instructables inbox but it's empty.

Something seems really screwed up.

Hm. Link works for me. Try logging in in another window and then clicking the link instead of going to the inbox. I'd also dump all cookies and clear the cache.

Thanks for the reply. It's crazy but now, regardless of which 1 of the 2 links I use, it's working. I didn't even have to dump any cookies or cache. I can't explain it and I should probably just be happy it's working. Strange though...

That is strange. My guess would be just a minor hiccup with the server or something like that. Glad it's working now, though. Thanks for posting a bug report!

Hi, there are two separate issues here. The link you've posted above _should_ work, provide you are accepting cookies from www.instructables.com (check your browser preferences). You may want to delete all cookies (as Lithium Rain suggested) and try again. Separately, you report, "If I log in (in another window) I can get to my instructables inbox but it's empty." That is, unfortunately, correct behaviour :-) "backtalk" is the URL for the index of all comments you've received in reply to your own comments in forums or I'bles. Rather than your inbox, look at the "Comments" box in the middle of your profile page. You should see several items from other people to you. You can then click on those and they will take you to the appropriate thread, where you can reply in turn.
