Beer...how do I convert pressure to flow to determine ounces over time? Answered

How do I convert beer. How do I convert pressure to ounces. If I know my pressure at the valve is 20 psi with beer running through 3/16 inch tube how do I convert the flow to ounces say over 10 seconds when I open the valve?

Would love some help.

thanks

The viscosity of beer is about 2 cP.

The volumetric flowrate of liquid of viscosity, n, in a pipe length L, radius r and pressure drop Delta P is

Is there a Var for Carbonation? :P

Seriously though, Would it play into the pressure drop?

Yes, but it's hard to account for because it's a liquid, until it reaches ambient pressure

Ultimately you will need to test and adjust the timing not only for Steve's pipe flow formula but you will have to differentiate between fast flow mountain brews vs strong earthy Czech real beer brews.

Would it be too much hassle to just include a flow meter in the line?

You want to measure the beer not the gas right?
