COINPUSHER MOTOR SPEED " TO FAST "
I'M BUILDING A COINPUSHER WITH A 12 VOLT SYSTEM AND I'M HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE MOTOR SPEED I'VE TRIED A REHOSTAT AND IT SMOKED WHEN I HOOKED IT TO THE BATTERY AND ADJUSTED THE SPEED WITH IT ... THE MOTOR IS A BLOWER MOTOR FOR THE A/C SYSTEM OF A CAR .. ANY HELP WOULD BE USEFUL !!! PUT "MOTOR" IN SUBJECT IF YOU RESPOND

THANKS FOR THE INFO , I DID NOT KNOW THAT THEY MADE A DC DIMMER SWITCH .. I TRIED AN AC DIMMER BUT IT DID NOT WORK ..
WOULD RADIO SHACK HAVE THE 1n0007 DIODE ?

That motor will take a huge amount of current, which is why the rheostat smoked. Either reduce the speed with a belt drive or gears, or find a something like a windscreen motor instead.
