Cad programs? Answered

What do you use for cad? I just got a new macbook and I was wondering what you recommend. Does anyone know how to run windows programs on mac for free, or where to get an XP live CD. Thanks.

I use inventor, it can also draw in 3-d easily if you know how to use it. It's expensive, but I got it for free cause I'm a student and my tech-ed techer gave out codes for students to get it using our school email.

I'm not sure which one I use. I think it's Auto CAD 2007.

I personally use autoCAD and Sketchup... Recently, I've been using Solidworks for Cad, modeling and analysis... Out of those three... Sketchup is free. Don't let it's "easy to use" sort of appearance fool you, you can do quite a bit with it if you're experienced enough... I used it to model my cardboard suit of armor in 3D and then made a development drawing from that.

I tried sketchup, but it wasn't enough for me. At school I use autodesk Inventor 08. Do you know of any for mac?
