Can I add a power line to an iPod remote? Answered

I'm considering buying a wired remote for my car: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11592

But can I add a power line (Such as my old 5.2V GBA SP Car Adapter) to this remote so my iPod isn't dying the whole time I'm playing music.

Yes, but it mightn't be very simple. You would first have to see if the remote connects all the pins at the ipod end.
If all the pins have wires leading to the inside of the remote you are looking at hacking in an extra wire to the remote from a usb car charger. https://www.instructables.com/id/How-To-Make-Your-Own-USB-Car-Charger-For-Any-iPod-/  should help you there if you go that way.
If the important pins do not wire through to the remote you would have to hack the plug in order to run power to said pins.

Either way, it is possible. It's just a matter of your effort and skills.

That item is sold out, you won't be able to order it (likely for a while, knowing DX).  I suggest finding a different model that includes a car charger.
