Can I download photos off a functioning (not broken) phone after I stop using my current carrier?
I want to change mobile phone carriers, but am afraid that if I do I won't be able to retrieve my photos off my phone (iPhone 4S) once I'm no longer with the same carrier (I'll be using a different phone, as well). See, the thing is, I want to switch my phone and carrier NOW, but I don't have the capability to download my photos off my phone onto a computer right now. I will have the capability in a month or so - but, not now. So, before I switch carriers, I'd like to rest assured knowing that I merely need to just turn on the phone and I'll be able to download the photos onto my computer. (easy, right? :D)
Thanks for any help! :)

You don't even need a cable as the WiFi and Bluetooth will still work fine. Use a service like Dropbox to easily move your files between almost any phone and/or computer.

As bravoechonovember1 says, just plug it into a PC or laptop with a cable, and it will act just like an external drive.
Even when your phone is disconnected from a phone service, you can still use it as a camera, music player etc. You can even go online & email etc, just using the wifi functions instead of the phone connection. I've known folk take the SIM card out of their "old" smartphone and give it to their children to use as browsers at home.
