After a while it will do this automatically understanding it doesn't go inside.IF it has accidents DON'T punish it the dog will have no memory or understanding what the punishment if for and will just learn to distrust you.You will do best at training by being totally consistent, use treats to reward the dog, they are very food oriented. If you don't want or can't buy treats make your own, very small (1/4 inch square) bits of liver baked in the oven until they are hard and dry will be most welcome as they smell strongly to the dog.Always take outside after meals and at regular times otherwise. Patting and vocal praise will also be welcome to the dog. It wants to trust you, follow you and sees you as the pack leader (if you do it right) this will make it obedient and well behaved.
