Can anyone identify this cable? + bonus question Answered

I've taken some pics of a cord that's coming out of a camcorder LCD display I salvaged from an old camcorder. Can anyone identify it? I counted 28 pins.

I also have a second question. I was hoping to connect the LCD display to a webcam so if anyone would be willing to provide any insight on that, I'd appreciate it :)

Thanks in advance!

not all cables have predefined names. especially if it's something that's custom built and unique to the device you tore it out of.

ergo, it's just a 28 conductor ribbon cable from a camcorder LCD display.

what you want to look for is a pinout specific to the device you pulled the thing from. so if it was a sony handycam you'd need to look for a sony handycam LCD ribbon cable pin out.

Oh, I see. The problem is that it's a very small company and doesn't even support their customers with drivers on their site (it's "Digitron" if you were wondering). So then what you're saying is without a pinout, I have no way of knowing what each pin is for.

Thanks for the info.

So then if I do buy an LCD display from a website, such as this one,

will it come with a pinout?

. I'd call it a 28-conductor ribbon cable

Yeah, that was my first thought too. I tried googling it and couldn't mind much of anything. Thanks for the reply though.
