Can people please give me links to free-for-use 7-8 minute monologues for young woman? Answered

I'm looking for a 6 or 7-8 minute monologue or one-woman play to be performed by a young woman. I'd prefer for it to be modern (within the last century) and to have some kind of meaning or something that people can connect or relate to. I've looked all over the internet for something that fits this description, but I've had no luck as of late. I'm 16 years old, so that may you to know what I'm looking for. Please and thank you! If it's shorter than 6 minutes, it's out, but no longer than 8 minutes (a few seconds over is okay).

Hey, you asked way too vague a question. Within the last century could include 'Strictly Dishonorable' and 'The Little Foxes,' with vastly different characters. Saying you want "Modern" actually has a different meaning than the way you use it. And "Kind of meaning or something that people can connect or relate to" is supposed to be considered a given for every work in print or on stage. If you've seen the film 'A Beautiful Mind' our hero's wife has a moment talking of her dilemma after his collapse that we're relating to her on before she even says it. 'Equus' offers the mother of the boy in question starting at a disadvantage as she talks about the same dilemma, we're not favorably disposed toward her going in. Which makes for the more impressive performance if you pull it off?

If you want dramatic:

If you want comic:

It's easy enough to hook you up with "Monologues." http://www.ace-your-audition.com/free-monologues.html It's far harder to get you to make a connection with the work, which is why they like to see you pop off a monologue when you audition. Which is why I've so often recommended that people keep in mind the old saying "That which is old is new again," so they can simply take some time honored work http://www.monologuearchive.com/m/moliere_026.html to rewrite as they'd like to say it in your own time. http://www.monologuearchive.com/t/twain_005.html MAKE IT YOUR OWN. (Or is that 'Makit your PWN?') Between these two and the two films I mentioned before, that's four versions of the same theme.

If none of that works for you, I suggest you just keep looking.
