Can somebody explain this to me? Answered

Is this legitimate?

http://freefreeelectronics.com/index.htm

I find it hard to believe they are giving a way things like Ipads and macbooks completely free.

So what is up with this?

What info do they need to give me this free stuff.

Thanks.

When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is...

That website is just a referral site to the main company who is after "referral email addresses". If you get into reading all their fine print, they basically say that they reserve the right to disqualify entries and don't have to tell you why, and that even if you do qualify for a freebie, they cannot guarantee the delivery of your "prize".

Getting involved with something like this is a huge waste of time, and they'll try and hook you into giving the email addresses of all your friends and family to "qualify" for even better freebies. (ya, right).

You were wise to be suspicious. ;)

The chances of you getting something you WANT is slim to none. What you will get is an email inbox full of junk!!!

You're welcome and sorry to burst your bubble on this one. Its just a classic ploy to get legitimate email addresses that they will turn around and sell to as many spammers as they can. You're better off sticking with legitimate companies like Instructables! ;)

Don't feel bad. It is better I know now than after I have invested time in it.

I almost forgot to explain "why" they do this. Legally they are not breaking any laws, because their "fine print" explains how they don't have to give you anything. In return, you are giving permission for them to "share" your email with other "affiliate companies".

Translated, that means you'll get inundated with spam emails!
