lets see here... according to wikipedia, paper clips usually made out of steel steel melts around 2500 °F, depending on the alloy Lead-based solder melts at 250 °C to 280 °C or 300 °C while lead-free soldering needs a higher temperature, about 350 °C to 400 °C. Unless you your soldering iron works on steroids, I don't think your going anywhere fast please correct me if I'm wrong that means you kelseymh

You can solder things to paperclips, but you cannot use paperclips as solder.
