Change the thickness parameter causes many other change? Answered

Great Tutorial! Thank you for putting this together. I've really learnt a lot from this and can see how powerful Fusion 360 is!
The issue I'm having is that when I change the thickness parameter quite a few things change that really didn't have that value as a factor. A couple of examples are slots grow in length ... kinda but there is no depth, the hole extrusions made in the slots have moved away from the slot, locations of a component/body has moved and partially disappeared. I suspect it has something to do with the way I set it up. I'm sure I'll figure it out at some point but thought I'd touch base to see if it's just something simple I've done that I can correct ... might have to correct it at another time.
I'm wondering if it has something to do with the view cube orientation? In this particular project y is facing up in the modeling view but when I switched to CAM I needed to change the vectors so z is up on the projects vector but the view cube still has y up (in CAM). Hope that makes sense.
All the best,
Mike
