Charge controller CM3024z Answered

Hi, 

im a student, i just  wanna ask if i can use the charge controller CM3024Z to a Magneto (alternator) and coupled with a solar panel 50watts? does the solar charge controller are for solar panel only? thanks godbless

As long as the panels and alternator are electrically seperated (diodes, switch or similar) AND the input is within the limits of the controller I see no issues.
But it comes down to your knowledge and understanding of the electrical side....

Short answer yes/ no /maybe.

Long answer, If the Magneto is off a motor bike, rated at 12 volts, less than 30 amps, and has a DC output, and you know what your doing then yes you can.

If the alternator is off a car it will not work with out the battery and regulator, so no.

So.... maybe....
