Chevy Flip Car Key Fix
I have one of those older flip Chevy fobs. Well the key broke off the fob so it's just a piece a metal and I use the fob to turn the ignition.
I am looking for a fix with maybe like sugru or something to make a top portion to make it look like a key again.
Any ideas??? or plans of action?
don't want to fork out another 100$ a key.

THIS. My 3rd fob in 7 years has broken AGAIN same piece just like the picture in this thread. I'm sick of shelling out 3 digit amounts for a crappy engineered key I'll wind up replacing AGAIN in 2 years!

What are the chances- I had this exact problem with my car key the day before yesterday. Did you sort anything out? I'm hoping it's possible to get a replacement for just the fob half and put the blade into the new key, though you'd also have to transplant across the radio and immobiliser for it to work properly.

This isn't my exact key, had to take it to get worked on today, but this is it. minus I don't have the little piece any more. But my broke in the same exact manner. Apparently it's a huge design fall and why Chevy dumped the concept in 2012.

superglue

Or epoxy, but just glue it in the "out" position (I have a similar key, with the projecting button, and it constantly flips out in my pocket anyway).

You could fix the key into the handle of a medium-sized screwdriver and pretend you are stealing your own car...
Or make a "swiss army" key holder;

Thanks but that won't work. I wish it was like another car key, bit it's just a length of metal at this point.

Maybe if you post a photo of the useful bit that's left?
