Cleaning a 55 Gallon Drum?
Hey, I'm looking to build a rain barrel, and found out that my local car wash is willing to give me a 55 gallon drum. The thing is, I don't know what kind of soap they use (I would have asked, but the guy was impossible to understand) or how to clean it out. If anybody has experience in this, that'd be great!

Water should do it. If it's pretty much empty I wouldn't think a small amount of soap would harm the garden.

It looks like I'm just going to buy one from a guy on craigslist for $20 tomorrow morning. It was used for vegetable glycerin, so I feel more comfortable using it.

I cleaned out some metal 55 gallon drums by just using a lot of dawn, swishing it around and rinsing it out really well.
