Clock Powah! (power) Answered

Clock idea = out!
any other idea for a higher torque clock-like motor

here's a very very brief photo of my idea. The light gray is the rotating
food area and would be push by the dark gray (white out!) motor. the yellow
thing is a hatch. It was just for me to write my thoughts down and I
know the hand will run into the wall and everything. The sloped rectangle
is a ramp on the inside so the food turbine will move spilling down the
ramp into the bowl. Also the big hand is actually the hour hand, I drew
a small minute hand to show it was a clock, This has it worked so it will
feed every 12 hours and needs to be refilled every day.
I don't really need any critique just answers for now '"

I'm assuming you're talking about an analog clock, not digital. I doubt the clock could push more than a few pieces of kibble along without jamming or being overwhelmed with the weight. You'd be better off using the hands of the clock as contacts to complete a circuit that activates a servo that dispenses the food. My idea is this: You use the minute hand of the clock as one part of a switch. There would be another contact, perhaps a simple piece of tinfoil, somewhere along the hand's pathway. Hand goes around, contacts touch, circuit completed, servo activated. You could find a way to make the servo go off at controlled intervals over a greater period of time using the hour hand.

one point of this project was to be simple just gut out something and put it in the next Is there like any other kind of rotating clock-like device with higher torque?

A small motor that's been geared down might produce better results.
