Clock mechanisms?and large clock hands? Answered

I'm building a large wall clock using Numbers stuck to wall and bought 10 quartz clock mechanism's but not one can drive or strong enough to  to drive large clock hands,can anyone help ?where can I buy from

balsa wood, Expanded Foam and paper are all very light.

As Steve says balance the weight

There are apparently high torques clock mechanisms

Try adding weights to balance the hands on the pivots

The size and weight does not really matter much but if you have one kg at one side of the hand and 2kg at the other you need very strong motor...
Of course using very light materials makes things easier, after all it's a clock and not a tool ;)
