Collection Comments Bug Answered

I tried searching for this but nothing seemed to come up that applied so I'm not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this. It's also quite possible I'm missing the obvious and someone could point it out to me and make me feel very stupid.

When I go to my "collections" page it tells me that I have two comments on my Assassin's Creed collection (https://www.instructables.com/id/Assassins-Creed-7/).

When I go to the collection I don't see those comments anywhere. In fact, I don't even see a comment box where someone could have commented, nor do I see a button that might open that option.

Am I missing something?

We changed the format and functionality of Guides to Collections. One of the updated elements was the removal of comments on the Collection, the aim was to drive the views and commentary to the Instructable itself rather than the guide/collection.

Any older Guides were automatically changed into Collections, and the comments that were there before the change are no longer viewable.

Huh, well that's a good idea since it's better for the author of the instructable to get the comment rather than the person who "collected" it and probably was not part of its creation. I wonder what those comments were though... apparently I missed them when they first happened. I guess I'll never know...

While on the subject of things not showing up... my patch is not listed under the "overview" area on my profile. Do you have to have a certain amount before it shows up?

I just sent you a patch and can see it on your profile. Looks like it was the only one sent so far. Is there another one you should have? Maybe it was deleted?

Haha thanks! Roar.

I guess I should have done this first, but I went ahead and took a screen shot. It's an achievement patch from a contest. Maybe I just don't understand patches :(

I think there is a duration for patches awarded from Contests of about 3 months. That looks like it is from last year's Halloween Contest.

Aaah, I did not know that. Is that just for contest patches? Or do other patches have a duration as well?

I think the duration was from a previous iteration of our interface, as I can see patches on my profile that go back further than a year. Sorry for the confusion.

Penolopy has a more accurate answer in that 'patches' and 'achievments' are now their own separate categories, where they were once listed together.

Yeah, I saw that but I think I was just confused because on my main page it lists it as a patch so I was expecting it to be under the patch section. That makes sense though.
