Comments Functionality? Answered

Your Comments Section really sucks. Actually, it's pretty much non-existent as far as I can tell?

There is no way to follow up on comments you've made, (or even find them), there's no subscription, there's not even any kind of sort function. (Newest, Most Popular, Oldest).

C'mon.. look at any random internet page, and they will have a more functional Comment engine.

It shouldn't take much to improve this.

If you go to "view profile" under your avatar on your "you page", you can look for older/specific comments much more easily than in your discussions tab by looking in your comments section. There are far more comments per page and there is a thumbnail of the ible next to each comment. The discussions tab is best for seeing if anyone has responded to comments recently.

THIS IS SPARTA...wait, Instructables...

Have you gone to your YOU page or profile page to see the list of your comments or comments/discussion made on your instructables? There is the reply button.

Still pretty basic and not that user-friendly within the specific Instructable. But thanks for the pointer to the YOU page.

You have to realize the humble ragtag origins of this site that cobbled together its system with barely more than spit and now under the great auspices of Autodesk. Still pretty basic and not that user-friendly sums it up quite nicely. We call it wonky and full of features. Enjoy your stay here.

it's still a great site.. I made a comment, on a build, and now I have no way of finding it, unless I scroll through the thousands of comments that have accrued. I wanted to edit, possibly delete it, and even knowing approx how many hours ago I posted it, there is no logical sort of way to just pull up my comment... until someone happens to make a "Reply". At that point, I'll probably be able to at least see the Reply and get closer to finding my orig comment.
