Compiling error WifiClientBasic? Answered

The previous modile compiled and loaded OK the red onboard light blinks ok. Uploaded the other sketch WifiClientBasic from ''Exemples'' as instructed, but I'm getting an error during compiling:

Arduino: 1.8.10 (Windows 10), Board: "Adafruit Feather HUZZAH ESP8266, 80 MHz, Flash, Disabled, All SSL ciphers (most compatible), 4M (no SPIFFS), v2 Lower Memory, Disabled, None, Only Sketch, 115200"
C:\Users\Marc\AppData\Local\Arduino15\packages\esp8266\tools\xtensa-lx106-elf-gcc\2.5.0-3-20ed2b9/bin/xtensa-lx106-elf-ar: unable to rename 'libraries\ESP8266WiFi\ESP8266WiFi.a'; reason: File exists
Multiple libraries were found for "ESP8266WiFi.h"
Used: C:\Users\Marc\AppData\Local\Arduino15\packages\esp8266\hardware\esp8266\2.5.2\libraries\ESP8266WiFi
exit status 1
Error compiling for board Adafruit Feather HUZZAH ESP8266.
This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

Please help
Thank you in advance

Ah I see. Does that mean in the background it is automatically trying to
connect multiple times, or is it simply that the wifi.begin connect https://mycoles.onl/
function takes a long time and you need to wait and see if it worked?

I'm used to everything happening in micro to milliseconds max.

I verified the libraries included in the IDE and noticed that many have libraries called ESP8266wifi.h. Does this mean that the compiler search through all the libraries included in the IDE and not just the ones called by the sketch, Should I therefore only include in the IDE only the libraries that the sketch calls. Obviously I have a misunderstanding of how the compiler treats the libraries.
