Computer screen with dots? Answered

Acer T232HL. I dusted the screen. Then it was electrostatically loaded. Now the screen is fulll of dots. How can the screen be discharged so that the dots disappear ?

Dots can be anything from sub pixels to coin sized specs.

Take a picture with a well known object (e.g. a ruler) for reference.

Sounds like dead / hot pixels. Probably destroyed the screen, you can try to recover it with those tools that flash different colors randomly on the monitor to "unstick" the stuck pixels. Last time I ever saw a dead pixel on a monitor was when LCD projectors first replaced overhead projectors in schools. That was many years ago.

If you used a plastic duster like the ones for furniture then I would assume you killed your TV.
-Unless by "dots" you mean specs of dust stuck on the screen...
Why do you think it is always recommended in the manual to use a damp, lint free cloth and not a particale gun?
Because your electrostatic duster is nothing more to a sensitive screen...
