Connect three LED strips to AC Answered

I have 3 led strips using 3 AA batteries each.

The easy way would be to use dummy batteries and three separate 4.5v adapters.
The ideal would be to connect them all together somehow and use only 1 adapter, maybe a 13.5v?

Am on the right track here?

What LED strips are you using and how many amps do they pull? You should be able to wire them in parallel then any 4.5V to 5V adapter with enough amperage can support the lights.

Generic multicolor strips from china.
All right. So when in parallel volts stay the same but amperage adds up.
I'll get a multimeter and check the amps before getting an adapter.

Thanks for help, appreciated!

Try a 12V pack, and put the strips in SERIES>

Ok, I think I'll try connecting in series first. Easier to do with these led strips and easier to find a good 12v adapter.

Thanks Steve. :)
