Connected USB cable to N64 controller Answered

I used a stripped a USB cable and Just a usb cable no adapters I try plugging it in all it says is "USB Device Not Recognized" any driver availiable?

What is the cheapest arduino,pic board or micro controller.

Actually a Leonardo is the cheapest Arduino board which is handy.

The output of a N64 won't go to a USB cable without electronics in the middle.

What do you want to do with it ?

You'd need an arduino, or a PIC to make the interface to USB. There's code out there that can do what you want. An Arduino Leonardo has a lot of the clever bits of USB-ery done for you.

N64 controllers speak over the wires in a protocol but it definitely isn't universal serial bus.

@author Look it up, you can easily connect through a microcontroller (pic, arduino, etc) and the arduino will translate.
