Contests for Kids? Answered

Ok, why shouldn't there be a contest, for kids 0-16 year olds...
this is because many contests contains electric things like circuit boards and programming where many kids like me cannot understand at all! Also, why couldn't kids enter most contests, such as the back to school contest. This is why I believe there should be contests or challenges that  kids can enter.

Well, after your earlier comment (which will still be in the database even after you "delete" it), the answer is obviously "Yes."

There are strict laws regarding contests targeted towards kids. If you read the contest rules on any given contest there is a cut off age for entering. You'll also notice that different countries have different cut off ages.

Now there are always different kinds of contest going on. Most of them do not require you to have a good understanding of electronics. If it seems like its centered around electronics then try to think outside the box and come up with something others might not have thought of. Its those kinds of ideas and projects that can win you a contest.

Useless for a contest... Yes, but not totally useless. As you post more instructables you are gaining more experience and building a portfolio of your skills. This could lead to opportunities down the road. So don't stop creating and posting. Sure you can't enter contests yet and possibly win prizes but eventually you will and you'll be able to post a better instructable that has a better chance of winning.

You can enter but once your age is known you won't be able to win or receive a prize.

Sometimes parents can accept prizes on behalf of minors, depending on the sponsor's desires and local laws.
