So here's the deal, I am totally stuck.
I've been looking all over and can't find what i need.  my church has 3 projectors for one stage, two on the sides and one in the center, we are planning on buying a couple rgb panels and playing some video loops on them, what I need to happen is for a vga or dmi signal to go to the arduino then convert to rgb and then to dmx to control the panel's.  I have little experience in arduino programming so any help would be great.

Why do people think Arduinos can do anything?
I'm with mpilchfamily in that getting a box that does the job rather than trying to build one would be best.

What do you mean RGB panels? Are you talking about a panel of lights or a video panel like an LCD or plasma display?

It sounds like you want to get large RGB LED panels and convert video to run on those panels. How that will work will depend on what kind of video input the panels use. Then you can go buy a commercial converter to take whatever video source you decide to use and convert it to what the panel needs.

I'm guessing your going with something like this.
