Could you convert noise pollution into energy? Answered

Since Microphones turn sound energy into electrical energy, you think you could generate any usable amount of electricity from an array of dynamic or piezo microphones near a noisy intersection or metropolitan area?

Well sure, but it wouldn't be very efficient nor would it produce very much energy at all. Do a search for piezoelectric energy harvesters. I think Linear Technology actually makes a chip designed for this purpose.

Yes in theory, but to be worthwhile you need to be thinking about ear-damaging levels for starters.
