It is possible. Lots of practice - instruments for kids are made of plastics these days. Only the reed itself is best made from a natural material. I,ve seen pvc wateringcans turned into saxophones.

I guess your aimimg to make a PVC Xaphoon. Well they make them from bamboo so i don't see why not from PVC.
