Creating 'able. Filenames not the real filename? Answered

I'm finishing my first 'able. I have a zip file on one step, which shows up at the bottom of the text displaying the correct filename but when I hover over it, it consists of a bunch of random letters.

Is there a way to have the downloaded filename to be the real filename?

Also is it possible to position the filename elsewhere in the text?

Thanks, Michael

I don't THINK you can - Ibles hashes the name like that to allow multiple people to use the "same" filenames.

that's interesting, and explains some other things that i've noticed in the past.

No, and yes. First, as Steve wrote, the internal filename used by I'bles is an auto-generated hash. It ensures that evey file uploaded by every one of the 20,000+ users is unique.

You can use a hyperlink in your step, and directly reference the file using the internal URL, now that your know what it is. You can't do the nice "attachment" formatting that I'bles does automatically, but you can just make a simple link.
