Deer eating garden Answered

My wife and I have been invaded by deer. We are trying to keep the garden safe and were wondering if anyone has any ideas for a repellant that can be made at home. Any ideas are welcome.

You can prevent deer to enter into your garden by installing fence. Call local fence contractor or contact La Habra Fence Company. They will sure take care of it. You can also get free estimate as well quote from their website. http://www.lahabrafence.com/

A study was done by the MNR here in Ontario with deer and apple orchards.

They used dogs to chase off the dear and an invisible dog fence to keep the dogs on the apple orchards land.

It worked to a point, big aggressive dogs just would not stop chasing the deer right through the invisible dog fence and small less aggressive dogs made friends with the deer.

Is there a zoo nearby? You could ask them for lion urine...

We had them back in the day as well as wild pigs.
After trying basically all available sprays, salts, deodorants and mechincal deterrents we reverted back to what one of the hunters suggested : an electric fence.
Cheapest and most powerful model we could get, three wires and jobs done.
Lowest wire was just above the grass level to keep the pigs out, highest on the top of the fence and the last was for good measure ;)
After energizing the fence we had more problems with the garden, but our neighbour got more but I can't see how that would be related ;)
