That's the biggest tin I've seen used - any thoughts as to why the lid didn't hit the ceiling? L

It's not a really tight fit, so I tape it down to increase the pressure (without the tape, it goes fuff and rocks the lid).

I have an unsubstantiated idea, though, that it's to do with the proportions as well - a taller, narrower tin may have been more "cannony", since less energy would be lost flexing the horizontal flat surfaces.

My thinking was that you create the explosive mix in the centre, but around the edges it's still quite rich. If you got the right mix in a tin that size, the blast would be borderline-safe/hazardous I think? L
