You just connect a blu-ray drive, then you can enjoy Blu-ray discs easily. If you want a good player with high quality, try Macgo Mac Blu-ray Player for free. Surprise is waiting for you.

I agree with thematthatter

By the way, I'd like to make a supplemantary. As for the third party software, You'd better acquire some advice from the already users. Macgo Mac Blu-ray Player is the most widely used tool for Mac right now because its Blu-ray playback capability is really amazing.

Macs don't come with Blue ray players. Apple and Sony don't like each other so you will need 3rd party software to play movies once you install a player

If the machine doesn't have a blue-ray disk drive on it then you won't be able to play blue-ray disks. If it doesn't then it should already have the codecs needed installed in QuickTime to play the movie.

In case you didn't know Blue-rays require a special blue laser to read them. CD and DVD drives use a red laser. The blue laser is much narrower allowing it to read the finer lines that are on blue ray disks. No software will compensate for the lack of hardware.
