Dual HDMI Processing Answered

I have an idea for a project that needs to process 2 hdmi inputs in real time, and 1 hdmi output.

What kind of processing power would I need for this? I don't think an arduino would be able to handle it, but would a raspberry pi? Or should I be looking at like a mobile dual-core or something?

I'm trying to keep it in a small form factor and have it the least amount of lag possible.

Thanks,
-Nikon

Picture in picture? Side by side? Take a look at what video mixers are out there, high end graphic cards, dual tuner cards?

Processing is relative....

But just the amount of data would require more power than a PI, at least to my knowledge, please correct me if I am wrong.

There is also the porblem of security, if you work with DVD or blue ray content your equippment must handle the encrypton part as well.
