Edits not appearing on my published 'Ible Answered

Hello there,

Please excuse me if this is an old topic but just can't see how to make edits appear! I published my first 'Ible a couple of days ago but then realized the language needed a little tidying. I have done the edits and can see them in the editor, but when I view the final project the old text still remains. I have pressed save and preview and all is fine.

Any tips on making the edits appear on the published version?

Thanks, Jayne

There's usually a slight delay in updates - I'd give it 15-20 minutes or so to reflect what you changed. :)

Let me know if updating isn't working and I can help you troubleshoot!

You're joking right? A slight delay in updates? 15-20 minutes or so? I think the actual time it takes for updates to instructables to crystallize is measured in days, or maybe never.

As an example, my recently published, "Reshape Rectangular Pizza Into Hexagonal Pizza" has several edits, fixed typos, that look fine in the editor, and a whole new Step added at the end, but the published version looks the same as it did like two days ago.

Yeah. I guess that is it.

I thank you for telling me about this.

I have also discovered another trick is to look at my 'ible through a so-called "private" browser window. The version of Firefox I am using has a button for this.

Essentially it is a new browser window that does not use cookies, or certainly not the same cookies as the window that launched it. There are articles out there that explain what this "private" browser window does.

Maybe more people should know about this? It seems like it would make using the site less frustrating.
