Eliminate login to xp?
I would like to eliminate the login when I turn on my pc.
Up until about two weeks ago I was able to turn on my pc and use it without a login.
Now I have to click enter (with no password entered) when a login window comes up on startup.
Is there a way to disable the login?
I am running XP Pro SP3.
Thanks

ok, there's an easy way can help you. on desktop, right - click on the MyComputer and select manager, then look the left side you'll see "Local user and group", select it, after that select "user", then look the right side, you'll see the name that appear on the login screen when you turn on the PC just right - click on it and select delete. if you use administrator as a name to logon make sure you don't set password

Thanks for the suggestions.
I had already tried the control panel avenue with no luck.
But the tweakui did the job.
Thanks again.

Check your User Accounts, under Control Panel, there is a user called ASP .Net Machine, or other user, delete it and you will be fine.
This is available only if you dont make ASP .Net programming. If som you cant change your logon.

Download "tweekui" from this site and you can change that and many other things.
There is a way to directly change it but I don't remember what/where it is and I don't have time to look it up right now.

Under the Control Panel, and User Accounts (I think), there is a checkbox for "Use the Welcome Screen"... just uncheck that.
