Embedding Images? Answered

Can anyone direct me to a resource on how I might be able to embed images in the text portion of an instructable instead of the standard way of just attaching them to a step by dragging amd dropping to the top of each step?

I'd very interested in how the great mikeasaurus has been doing his Instructables recently. As an example check out this one

https://www.instructables.com/id/Name-Puzzle/

That format just looks so much better for certain projects and if he can do it there must be a way.

I found that one yesterday but that method doesn't seem to work anymore since they changed the editor.

I tried with one of my drafts, and it seems to work fine (at least on a draft, and with google chrome). What is the issue when you try?

When I try it shows up in the draft as well but when I go to preview the Instructable it disappears.

Could it come from your browser? As I said, it works fine for me with google chrome, you can give it a try.

You can use HTML code for this purpose.
The Ible linked shows some basic code for this I think.
You might have to switch the editor to HTML first though.
And the images from your library you need to add manually, e.g.:
right click on it to open in a new tab, click to get the fullsize image, then use the URL from that image together with the HTML image code.
I prefer to put placeholders like XXXYYYXXX into the text and then when done replace this with the required code for the images.
Helps to have an editor like Notepad++ at hand to do the copy and paste stuff easier.

Sadly it seems to be of no interest to this site to provide a proper editor for creators here :(
