Featured I'ble not showing on front page or withthe snazzy banner? Answered

Hullo all... I received the email telling me that I am awesome... and indeed that my I'ble on Trebuchets is also of the same calibre... BUT... It doesnt appear to be showing up on the home page... nor does it have the little white diagonal banner that says 'Featured'... that my other featured I'bles have...

I assumed that it was just due to updates and filters and such... but the time stamp on the email shows that I was featured at: 17 April 2010 00:17:43GMT   I show up in this link: https://www.instructables.com/play/?show=FEATURED

<shrugs>

Decided to take this to the forum as I was unsure who to email... or If its part of the new site re-vamp?

Let me know

Jay

It can be very helpful, when reporting a bug, to include a link to the specific item of interest.  That way, Staff doesn't have to waste time searching for whatever it is you're talking about.

In any event, your trebuchet I'ble was featured at the Category level (within Play), not at the top (home page) level.  The designation of three different levels of Feature (site-wide, Category, and single Channel) was part of the rollout of the new category/channel hierarchical system, but wasn't explicitly announced.

ah right... Perhaps the standardised email needs to be changed somewhat then? As,as it stands it's all a little confusing... or atleast, I found it confusing.

Thanks anyway

Yes, indeed it is.  Would you consider posting a Feedback topic suggesting this, and pointing out the confusion?  It really helps when Staff sees thoughtful, constructive suggestions (as opposed to whining :-).

Obviously, they just switched to having three levels of featured. I think you have to be the third level to end up with the banner and on the front page.
