Finding out the value on a rc crystal? Answered

I have a rc kit and need to know what the reciver frequency is (so I can get a Transmitter). The crystal has nothing saying the frequency. The part number on the crystal is...
26 800
6BF-15

any help would be apprecated. Thanks.

PS: While writing this My brother was playing with another Rc kit and it burst into flames.

You don't say where you are in the world, but in a lot of it, 26-27Mhz is designated for model control. 26.8 would fit very precisely in that region.

I am from New Zealand but I dont know if it is imported (it is second hand). Also the person who gave it to me had a few planes so he might have got it another frequency so it didn't interfare with his other planes.

Buy two crystals in some other modelling frequency, and be sure then.

What makes you think that (datasheets ect) because I cant just go and buy one in case it isn't going to work.
