Fixing a broken iPod Battery Connector Answered

I was recently disassembling my iPod in an attempt to resurrect an old iPod hard drive. I got it work, but in switching the hard drives the second time, I think I broke a trace on the flexible orange thing connecting the battery to the PCB. Is there any simple way to fix this without buying anything?

There are no leads, it's a little flexible orange ribbin and one of the traces on the ribbon broke.

What type of iPod is it? On the Mini there are three leads that connect to the battery, are you saying you broke on of these leads?
