Fixing a leak in a bike pump
Hi All,
I have a floor bicycle pump like this (http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-maintenance/bike-pumps/topeak-joe-blow-sport-ii-bike-pump) which lately developed a leak in the center tube at the bottom. It is apparently caused by bad positioning while pumping air. I have located the hole which is beneath the pump and the material is plastic. It is small 1mm or smaller hole. Is there any recommendation on what type of glue should I use to fix it ? I was thinking of epoxy, but would like to know what you guys think. Thanks

Usually these things are made from ABS like Lego bricks.
Is you dissolve some ABS in a bit of Acetone to get a honey like thickness it is a great "glue" for such jobs.
The remaining Acetone partially dissolves the area to be fixed and the cured result is a solid piece of plastic.
Unlike glues it won't come apart or peel off either.
Great for developing cracks too, just use a much thinner mix and brush it over the cracks.
