Frog operated music player Answered

I have a pet tree frog, Slippy. He likes to croak along with certain types of music, like minimalism and hip hop. I think it would be great if he had a way to turn on some music by like, hopping on a switch. I think he could learn. I have some ipods and a tape player. I can get more if need be, but I can't blow too much on it.

Rishnai + electricity = fire

That said, are you familiar with the way buttons such as those on a calculator, or the front of your microwave work? Two contact plates and an airspace. Make a switch like that (waterproof and insulated, of course, so Slippy doesn't get shocked), and when he sits on it, the top plate will deform and close the connection. Wire that in place of the play button on your tape player, and he'll be a self-sufficient musical frog in no time!

Too add a little to that idea I'd say having a few buttons separated from eachother that put on different music would be interesting, to figure out what slippy's favourite music really is. One other idea would be to alternate the music played over different time scales, to get an idea of how much sense of time the frog has...
