Full duplex radio module? Answered

Hello

I'm having some problems finding the correct modules. I'am trying to incorporate some radio's into some peltor headset's that i have.
I want to be able to talk ( like a phone call ) without the push to talk button.. Is this possible? can i use RF? Or do I need to use bluetooth?

How far do you want to talk over. Most of the VHF/UHf radio modules you can get will be line of sight, i.e. a few 100 meters.

In principle there is noting against using one of the common 433Mhz tx/rx modules, a set at each end to give open mike communications.

You may have to mute your receiver whilst your talking but that could be automated.

No need to go above 100 meters. It needs to be as simple as possible to make, my skills are not well developed in this area.

Your going to have problems.

Radio projects are famously hard to get working. If you build them yourself and you may well need some specialized test equipment.

As i say go for the commercial option and fit it into your equipment use a VOX switch option to trigger the radio - Amazon will show you a wide range of walki talki radios.
