Group a topic posted in not showing up in All topic list Answered

. In the topic list for the All forum (and maybe for others, as well) the group that a topic was posted in doesn't always show up. Eg, sometimes a topic that should list like this:

5 Special Effectsreplies posted 11 days ago by impossiblecorey in Film Makers on Instructables

will be listed as:

5 Special Effectsreplies posted 11 days ago by impossiblecorey

instead.

. Appears to be fixed. Thanks. . I just noticed this. How long ago did y'all make the change.

You know, I don't remember exactly! I think in early January or so, but clearly I missed noting it here.

. You've got to be kidding! I figured I missed it by a few days, maybe even a week, but months?!?! I guess I really am getting old.

not more than 6 weeks, and I didn't look it up so I could be remembering wrong myself :)

Is it really the case that the same topic shows up sometimes with and sometimes without the Group reference? What I see is slightly differerent:

If a posting went directly to a top-level Forum (e.g., Community -> Science -> New Topic) then it shows up in that Forum's list of topics without any "in XYZ" modifier.

If a user created the topic in a particular Group (e.g., Phyiscs or Alternative Energy DIY), but used the pull-down menu to "classify" it under "Science", then the topic shows up in the Forum list with the "in Group" modifier.

That's what I've observed. I would be interested to know from the experts (hi, Rachel!) if I am correct or not.

. From what I've noticed, a topic will either list the group or not. I haven't noticed any that change from time to time or area to area. But I haven't been looking very close - I consider it more cosmetic than functional.
