Okay, I want to move six objects 1/4 in. in diameter by 1inch long(known as a pin) a distance of 1/2 in. The pin is spring loaded and needs to be moved downward to unhook it so that it can move freely. All need to move in tandem. Hope that is enough detail

Use an electromagnet or dedicated electromagnetical puller (basically just a coil whers the pin is "sucked" into when the coil is energised.

Some use motors, other magnets or even coil guns.
If you want a specifc answer ask a specific question first ;)

Depends on the object, budget, skill level and available supplies.

Rub a balloon on your hair, then hold it over a scrap of paper. Presto!
