HELP (study courses)
HI im fujiapple this might not be the best place to post this, but i need help in choosing a suitable course for my studies, and whats better than asking the pro's themselves. I'm interested in arts, designing, electronics, programming and making things. im sure most of you here share the same interest. I would like to ask, 1) which would be the best choice 2) did you all study courses like :electronics, designing 3) or did you all do this during your free time thanks for helping.. Fujiapple

Follow the path that leaves the most alternatives open. Usually this means you should take the more difficult paths, especially with respect to subjects requiring formal education. It's a lot easier to try to an electronics engineering degree, with all the math, physics, etc and decide later you want to do LED art, than to pursue fine arts and design and later decide that you want to do EE...

1) the best choice will be the one that moves you in the direction YOU want to go in, learning what you will need to do what you want to do in life. It is so individual that it is mostly impossible for anyone but a close counselor to even give an opinion on this one. 2) yes, but not a course in school. I read a lot about it, and some of them were how to books. But then, I didn't get a career in this either. 3) answered by #2; I did this in my free time.

I got stalemated along the way, as I became "irreplaceable" in my climb up the ladder, so that can be a problem sometimes too. So I guess, for me, the answer is no, I am not doing what I would like to do.

At the end of the day, I am happy to work with the people I work with, but my job is boring and mind numbing. If I didn't have the gumption to continue to read and study, even this late in life, I would not be happy with the actual job. My mistake was not going to any schooling after Adult Ed Vo-tech when I discovered things I really liked to do. You are already a step ahead of me in the dept.
