HOW TO MAKE A CHEAP ART PROJECTOR?
Can anyone give advice on how to make a cheap art projector - to enlarge small images/drawings/photos onto large canvases or walls? Using cheap but effective lighting would be best.
thanx to all

What he wants to MAKE is an epidiascope. RMS' link is perfect, it describes what I suggested in my reply too.

Here's how one guy did it on the cheap:

He uses the optics from an old copier and CFL bulbs. The brighter the better, though. I'd try to find something with more lumens than a regular CFL.

Old overhead projector optic, if the room is really dark, you might transmit enough light to project something that way, or, put the optics in a light-tight box, and use a bright light to illuminate the image from the top.
