# Hammock stand - How to Build an Outdoor Hammock Stand \$25 Answered

Hello

I would like to know the angle between the horizontal support on the ground and the lateral upright that supports the hammock fixing ring. And if possible the height in cm from the ground to the hammock fixing ring. Thank you

The angle between the horizontal support on the ground and either lateral upright is, I think, intended to be: 90+25 = 115 degrees.

I estimate the height of the hammock fixing rings above the ground to be about 42 +/- 1 inches, or 107 +/- 2 centimeters.

I mean, I drawed a picture of it, and I am imagining that height is one side of a 25-65-90 triangle with lengths:

(48 - 3.5*tan(25)) = 46.368
(48 - 3.5*tan(25))*cos(25) = 42.024
(48 - 3.5*tan(25))*sin(25) = 19.596 inches

Edit: I forgot to mention, I am using dimensions found in the text and pictures of Step 1 of the following instructable,

because I am guessing that is the one you are asking about, with title, "How to Build an Outdoor Hammock Stand \$25".
