Has anyone used mri data and converted it to autocad point cloud?
Then used the point cloud to design and then print a surgical instrument for CNS surgery?

Many hospitals and doctors are starting to convert MRI scans into 3D models and then printing them out on a 3D printer to help them prep for surgery.
I don't know if they have used models to help them perfect a surgical tool. I'm sure they could do it and it could help them in designing a new tool. But i doubt they would use a 3D printed tool. At least not one printed off any commercial printer.
